TRACS

The TRACS system utilises satellite tracking data, vessel and port databases, and predictive analytics to monitor the activity of the global trading fleet on a real time basis.
Oceanic has been developing TRACS since 2011 and has 10 years of comprehensive data on shipping movements and seaborne trade.
Each vessel transmits AIS data which contains information on location, speed, direction, destination, draft and a timestamp. TRACS captures shipping data on a hourly basis for 30k+ vessels from sectors such as Tankers, Bulkers, LPG, LNG, Containers & Vehicles.
